The Standby (Reset) pin is not locked down. The panel 12V backup battery is low or missing. Using the wrong product handler, for example, using 2112 instead of 2212. Too much Current Draw on panel. Disconnect devices from Aux Power and try again. Noise or interference on the keypad Data Bus. Disconnect all wires on the panel data terminals. Not enough free memory in the D5200 Programmer. There should be 60K free memory. Refer to KB article: How to Operate the D5200 Hand Held Programmer. The 2212 handler may be corrupted in the D5200. Delete the 2212 handler and re-download it. Refer to KB article: How to Operate the D5200 Hand Held Programmer. Low batteries in the D5200. Replace batteries using 4 C cells. Trying to program a panel that is not powered up The programming cord is not securely connected to the panel programming port or may be damaged. The DX4010V2 comes with a cord with a 4-pin Molex connector on one end and phone connector on other end. This cable may work as a substitute.
Points are faulted but the panel does not react.
Points must be faulted for 500 milliseconds minimum.
*When using self resetting devices, some do not latch the contact in the faulted position but do show a fault trip via a latched LED.
On 2000 series panel, point codes are programmed for points between 9 and 24. When programmed points are tested the keypad reads "PT(#) PT DISABLED (where # is the number of the point being tested).
Pt text (Point Text) was never changed from default that read "PT(#) PT DISABLED".
What are the enviromental considerations for the proper operation of the Bosch control/communicators?
Relative Humidity 5% to 85% noncondensing at +86 degrees Fahrenheit (+30 degrees Celsius).
Operating temperature would be +32 degrees Fahrenheit to +120 degrees Fahrenheit ( 0 degrees Celsius to 49 degrees Celsius ).
Overview: Firmware revision 2.20 and higher limit errors when keypad programming a D2212 panel for D208 point expansion.
Why does the D2212 panel not allow keypad programming for a D208 point expander?
Before firmware revision 2.20, it was NOT possible to program the D2212 for a D208 Point Expander using keypad programming. Panels before firmware version 2.20 should be programmed with the D5200 handheld programmer or RAMIV/RPS download software.
Firmware revision 2.20 and above CAN be programmed via the keypad.
If the Central Station receives a signal in 4 x 2 format from a D2112 panel, how can that signal be deciphered using the programmed settings in the panel ?
The report code will consist of data digit 1 and data digit 2. When sending signals in Pulse, the first digit of the reported signal must be set to a particular report group in panel programming. The second digit will contain the point number or user number or event number that relates to digit one.
The chart below shows the Description of what the second digit of a reported code would be if the first digit were programmed as show below. NOTE: The first digit could be any selection 0-9 or B-F for any of the report groups.
To decipher the reported code: If using the D5200, look in programming under Receiver Format and RPT Groups for Pulse. The number entered beside the Report Group is what will come in as the first reported digit. Using the chart below, the point number or user number or event number that pertains to the second digit is described.
In remote programming, view the report section of the program to determine the report group programmed for Digit one. Using the chart below, the point number or user number or event number that pertains to the second digit is described.
