This article will guide you to upgrade your MIC camera.
This procedure is not applicable for MIC 440 Explosion Proof version.
Protocol change must be executed in our repair center, hence unit must be send to our repair center by RMA procedure.
Connected by use of USB / RS485 converter.
Do not use the “Transparent” USB converter anymore as this is not compatible the latest version of Universal Camset Software 4.12
Make sure that you have the MICUSB485VTR2 (USB to RS485)
Make sure you have programmed on your PC latest Firmware of Camset Software.
Version 4.12 includes the MIC file 1.07 which contain all available protocols.
IMPORTANT: DO NOT connect theMIC-USBto the PCUSBport UNTIL AFTER the software has been installed.
In case Bi-phase card has been inserted in Power Supply box, remove this PCB during upgrading of your MIC camera, in very few cases this could cause a connection failure.
Connected to a IP network by Bosch IP Devices.
The following table indicates the wiring requirements to connect a MIC series camera to either Bosch Videojet or VIP X encoders.
In order to upload protocol via the IP network, select COM port = IP

Establish connection with PC by starting the Universal Camset Software and ensure that you have fully PTZ control the MIC camera.
Click UPLOAD FILE TO MIC
Now you will receive a message on screen “ Ensure you have the correct version….."
Click OK
Protocol Upgrade SUCCESSFUL! Congratulations.
