NOTE: Installation Considerations - Use the duct detector housing in HVAC systems with air velocities from 300 ft/min to 4000 ft/ min (1.5 m/s to 20.3 m/s)) and in ducts ranging from 1 ft to 10 ft (0.3 m to 3 m) in diameter. Due to the 10-second time limitation, a maximum of four FAD-325-R Duct relays can be activated by a single zone. If more than four FAD-325-R or FAD-325-V2F-R (DUCT Housing with Relay) are needed, assign to separate zones. If using global shut-down, consider using the FAD-325 or FAD-325-V2F (DUCT Housing without Relay) instead with a separate relay module such as one from the FLM-325-2R4 Family.
The Relay of the Analog DUCT Detector does not automatically follow the smoke head of the DUCT. The relay of the DUCT needs to be assigned an output zone as the DUCT Smoke Head. Both the Smoke Head and the DUCT Relay can be asigned up to 5 output zones.
