How to access the Windows Interface (BVRAdmin account) after first configuration of DIVAR IP?

If you have configured an out of the box system and once the configuration was done you wasn’t able to access the BVRAdmin account, this article will help you to find a solution.

Access to BVRAdmin account is required to perform administrative tasks on the operating system.

This procedure is applicable also if you've redeployed the image on your  DIVAR IP  and now it is stuck in kiosk mode.

This requires the steps below, depending on your DIVAR IP unit:

• DIVAR IP all-in-one 7000 2U (gen 3) (DIP-73xx)
• DIVAR IP all-in-one 7000 2U (gen 4) (DIP-74xx) & DIVAR IP all-in-one 4000 (DIP-44xx) & DIVAR IP all-...
• DIVAR IP all-in-one 5000 (DIP-52xx) & DIVAR IP all-in-one 7000 (DIP-72xx)
• DIVAR IP 7000 R2 (DIP-71xx)
• DIVAR IP 7000 (DIP-70xx)

Step-by-step guide

DIVAR IP all-in-one 7000 2U (gen 3) (DIP-73xx)

- When the BVMS default screen is shown, press CTRL + ALT + DEL

- Press and hold the left SHIFT key immediately after clicking switch user

- Select BVRAdmin user and log in using previously defined credentials

Note: remote desktop can be used as an alternative.

Bosch strongly recommends to run the DIVAR IP in a parameterized network, operated by trusted personnel only. Remote access is possible via defined ports with e.g. BOSCH Video Security Client / App. In addition to that, it is strongly suggested to keep the system up-to-date by installing latest operating system updates and BVMS versions (incl. patches and sub-components), once available

DIVAR IP all-in-one 7000 2U (gen 4) (DIP-74xx) & DIVAR IP all-in-one 4000 (DIP-44xx) & DIVAR IP all-in-one 6000 (DIP-64xx)

To sign in to the administrator account in BVMS operation mode:
1. On the BVMS desktop, press Ctrl+Alt+Del.
2. Press and hold the left Shift key immediately after clicking Switch User.
3. Press Ctrl+Alt+Del again.
4. Select the BVRAdmin user and enter the password that was set during the system setup. Then press Enter.
Note: To go back to the BVMS desktop, press Ctrl+Alt+Del and click Switch user or Sign out. The system will automatically go back to BVMS desktop without a system restart. 

DIVAR IP all-in-one 5000 (DIP-52xx) & DIVAR IP all-in-one 7000 (DIP-72xx)

To logon to the administrator account (BVRAdmin):
1. On the BVMS default screen, press CTRL+ALT+DEL.
2. Hold SHIFT, click Switch User and keep SHIFT pressed for about five seconds.
3. Enter administrator user name and password.

DIVAR IP 7000 R2 (DIP-71xx)

To perform administrative tasks, the BVRAdmin account can be entered when Bosch VMS default screen is displayed. To do so:

1. Press CTRL+ALT+DEL, then hold down SHIFT while clicking the Switch User option and keep SHIFT pressed for about five seconds.

DIVAR IP 7000 (DIP-70xx)

To perform administrative tasks, the BVRAdmin account can be entered when Bosch VMS default screen is displayed. To do so:

1. Press CTRL+ALT+DEL, then hold down SHIFT while clicking the Switch User option.
