When connecting NACs to a 7024 and 7038, do I calculate current draw using the values for VDC or FWR?
Solution
For notification appliances connected directly to the D7024's NAC outputs, use the FWR rating. For notification appliances connected directly to the D7038's NAC outputs, use the VDC rating. This is because the D7024's NAC outputs provide unfiltered or Full Wave Rectified (FWR), 24VDC output while the D7038 provides filtered, true DC output.
