How to Correct 9000/7000/G series panel sending User Code Tamper with every test report

If an invalid passcode is entered from the keypad three time or more in a row the panel sends a User Code Tamper report to the central station and logs the event in history.  The panel will continue to send this report at every test report until history is accessed from RPS and a RAM Pointer is set.

    Issue

A 9000/7000/G series panel is sending a User Code Tamper report with every test report.

    Solution

If an invalid passcode is entered from the keypad three times in a row or more the panel sends a User Code Tamper report to the central station and logs the event in history.  The panel will continue to send this report at every test report until history is accessed from RPS and a RAM Pointer is set.

To make the panel stop sending the User Code Tamper report until the next time it occurs perform the following from RPS:

    1. Open the account and connect to it.
    2. Click the Get History button at the top.
    3. In the History Events dialog box, click the Current Events radio button and put a check in the Set RAM Pointer when finished box and then click the OK button.
    4. After history events have been received, click the Disconnect button at the top of the window.
    5. In the End Session dialog box, put a check in the Rest Panel box and click the OK button.

To keep this from reporting again, perform the following in RPS:

    • Open the appropriate account.
    • Go to Panel Wide Parameters > Routing > Burglar Reports
    • Change User Code Tamper to No for the appropriate Route Group(s).
    • Go to Panel Wide Parameters > Phone and Phone Parameters
    • Set Expand Test Report to No.
    • Save the information, connect to the panel, and send the information to the panel.

To disable the report using a 5200 programmer, perform the following:

    1. Copy the panel programming using the 9000MAIN handler.
    2. ENTER GROUP on PANEL WIDE PARAMETERS.
    3. ENTER GROUP on Routing.
    4. Go to the appropriate Route Group.
    5. Scroll down to View Events and set it to Yes.
