What conditions generate a data lost report?
Solution
A Data Lost signal can be caused by a Communications failure after ten attempts or when the panel tries to send over 100 reports in a 24 hour period of time. This condition is commonly caused by failing to program phone number 2 or account number 2. The panel may also send this report if events are created faster than the dialler can send them; this can overflow the 32 event buffer. Check dialling type, format, phone numbers, account numbers, phone line condition "tone" programming (if tone burst formats are used).
If Data Loss is displaying every other day in panel history on to the 2 communications paths is failing.
