What does it mean if the history on a D7024 shows PRG STRT and PRG STOP?
Solution
PRG STRT means that the panel answered an incomming call on the panel's primary telephone line and attempted to initiate a remote programming session. Usually this is because someone called the panel phone line in an attempt to program or reprogram the panel. However, if the panel is set up to answer an incomming call and a person or a device other than a computer running remote programming software calls the number the panel will still answer the line and attempt to start a remote programming session.
The PRG STOP event is when the panel ends the remote programming session by disconnecting and placing the telephone line back on hook.
To avoid these reports you can set the ring count in the panel to (00).
