How to Identify the FCA-500-E End of Line Base

Issue

The FCP-500 smoke base is missing the EOL terminal screws.

Solution

The FCP-500 Series smoke detectors, at each zone loop requires an FCA-500-E, End-of-line base. The FCA-500 bases cannot be used as an EOL base.  One FCA-500-E is required on every zone. If designing a smoke loop with (10) smoke detectors, then use (9) FCA-500 bases with one FCA-500-E at the end of line as the tenth base. See figure 4 Photo of EOL Base.

 *Note - For instaltions in the USA DO NOT  break off 680 Ω printed circuit board tongue.
