How to Remove the MUX from the DS9400 or 7024 Series FACP

Issue

How is the MUX Card (FPE-7039, D7039, DS9431) removed from the panel (D7024 / DS9400) and what indication is there that the MUX Card (D7039 / DS9431) is removed from programming?

Solution

To remove the MUX card (FPE-7039, D7039, DS9431) Tech - Support will need to be involved. Call  Tech - Support from the panel keypad with the panel powered up at 800-289-600996 choose option (4) for technical support.  One of our qualified Fire Specialists will walk through removing the MUX Card.

To check to see if the MUX is on the panel follow the steps below.

Enter Program mode 0 9876 (Program Code) from the panel keypad.

Press 4 Program Inputs

Press 1 Point Number - The panel will display the number of points the has on it.

(1 - 4) Plain panel out of the box

(1 - 😎 Panel plus 4 zone expansion card (FPE-7039, D7039, DS9431)

(1 - 255) Panel the MUX Card (FPE-7039, D7039, DS9431) May or may not have Zones (5 - 😎 that would be on the 4 zone expansion card (FPE-7039, D7039, DS9431).

To exit programming Press (*) Clear key 3 times.
