How is an AC failure report enabled to send to the Central Station?
Solution
- In 9000MAIN set AC failure in diagnostic reports to "Yes".
- In 9000MAIN - Panel Wide Parameters - Power Supervision, set the AC fail time in minutes. Default AC time is 15 minutes.
- AC Tag along is required to be set to "YES" for NFPA and UL 864 Commercial Fire Systems. When AC Tag along is set to "YES" then make sure that AC Fail/Restoral Report is set to "NO"
- With the configuration set to the above parameters, the D7000-9000 series, "B" and "B1", and the D9124 panels will only send an AC fail report for the following conditions.
- If the AC fails, and a trouble is created at the panel after the AC fail time has expired then an AC fail will be sent to the central station along with the trouble tag along signal.
- If the AC fails, and the panel drains the battery down to 12.1 volts DC or lower then the panel will send an AC fail with the trouble tag along signal to the central station.
Application Note: To totally eliminate AC reporting, AC Tag Along and AC Fail/Res Report must be programmed NO.
* NOTE: In Panel versions 5.22 to 6.10, this entry is stored as minutes instead of seconds.
IMPORTANT: For 9000 Series panels with firmware version 6.2 or higher, AC Fail Time operates differently. If an odd number is entered for the second digit, then the AC Fail Time is in minutes. If an even number is entered for the second digit, then the AC Fail Time is in seconds.
For example, entering “15” for AC Fail Time will be interpreted by the panel as 15 minutes. Entering “14” for AC Fail Time will be interpreted as 14 seconds.
