Place the test tool with the FAA-500-TTL test adapter with the magnet aginst the detector head.
Turn the test tool until the magnet activates the dry reed contact (the dry reed contact is located between the CO sensor and the right side double sensor).
Count three flashes then remove the magnet and the unit will stay in test mode for 60 seconds. The green LED will blink once a second to indicate test mode is active.
While the unit is in test mode it can be sprayed with canned smoke (SoloAerosolA4) using the Solo 330, test tool for optical smoke detectors. The FCP-500 can take up to 20 seconds to activate an alarm once sprayed with canned smoke.
