Issue
When using the FPE-7039, D7039, or DS9431 Multiplex Expansion Module in Class A mode, the FACP display alternates these messages:
- MUX WIRING FAULT
- FIRE TROUBLE - followed by the point text.
There is a possibility of miscommunication between the D7039 and the multiplexer devices in installations that use very short wire runs from 10ft (3m) to 300ft (91m), or very long wire runs of more than 1000ft (305m).
Solution
Contact Technical Support if you have a Class A configuration and the control panel displays these messages.
Provide this information:
What is the version of the D7024?
If the version is less than 2.05 and the D7039 version is less than 1.03.
The problem may be fixed by upgrading the D7039 and the EPROM on the D7024.
