How to Trouble-shoot D192 Alarm Output

Issue

There is no voltage (0VDC) across the ALRM CKT terminals.

Solution

Issue

There is negative 13VDC across the ALRM CKT terminals when no wires are connected to them.

Solution

This is normal operation.  In normal operation, there should be negative 5VDC across the ALRM CKT terminals when there is a 560 ohm (EOL) resistor across the ALRM CKT +/- terminals. There should be negative 13VDC when the EOL resistor is not present.
