Issue
Panel is displaying COM FAULT but is sending reports just fine.
Solution
In order for all reports to be sent correctly and for the panel to operate correctly, there must be an account number and phone number programmed for phone numbers 1 and 2 and account numbers 1 and 2.
To check the phone number and account number programming from the built-in keypad, follow these steps:
- Enter program mode by pressing the 0 button and then enter the programming PIN. (Default programming PIN is 9876)
- Choose Program Accounts by pressing the 6 button.
- Choose Phone Numbers by pressing 1.
- Start with Phone 1 by pressing 1.
- Choose 1 for Phone Number.
- Enter the phone number by typing in the number the panel should dial to reach the central station receiver and then press #/Command.
- Choose 3 for Account Number
- Enter the 3 or 4 digit account number and then press #/Command.
- Press */Clear one time to return to the Phone Numbers menu.
- Choose Phone Number 2 by pressing 2.
- Repeat steps 5 through 9 above.
Press */Clear three more times to exit program mode.
