If using 24vdc to power dialer from main fire control, is a battery backup required to be connect to the dialer.
Solution
No. The battery for backup should be on the main control and the battery calculation for the main panel should include the alarm and standby current for the dialer. In 24v mode the dialer can draw in alarm up to 170mA if using both the alarm and trouble relays.
