The D305 does not have the ability to trip the control panel or smoke head into alarm. The D305 Test Plate only toggles the alarm LED and relays of the D332A, FAD-325-R and FAD-325-V2F-R. The only way to get the control panel to display an alarm or supervisory from the Analog Hochiki DUCT Detectors is by using UL Listed canned smoke (refer to the testing procedure below).
Currently the only work-around is to connect a single point module (D334A, D339A, FLM-325-IM, FLM-325-I4, FLM-325-I4-A or FLM-325-I4-AI) to one of the alarm relays of the D332A, FAD-325-R or FAD-325-V2F-R.
*Note: If the customer installed the D331A, FAD-325, or FAD-325- V2F we have no way of using the D305 to trip the panel into alarm.
Option 2 - Replace the DUCT Housing (D331A, D332A, FAD-325, FAD-325-R, FAD-325- V2, or FAD-325- V2-R) and Test Plates (D305) with D341P Conventional DUCT Housing with Head, D344-RT Remote Test Plate, and D339A, D334A, FLM-325-IM, FLM-325-I4, FLM-325-I4-A or FLM-325-I4-AI Analog Single Point Monitor Module. The downside is that the customer will lose the ability to read the sensitivity of the DUCT through the control panel web-browser.
