Question
Transactions are not displayed correctly, a red X is shown, or a general issue displaying the View Activity page on Access Easy Controller. What can cause this?
Answer
Certain pages on the AEC version 1, run Java applets (e.g. web applications). The View Activity page is one such page. It is recommended that the version of Java be verified to ensure it meets the recommended version, as an incorrect version will cause the page to improperly display transactions.Â
The recommended version is Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 5.0 update 6. Oracle / Sun updates the version of Java occasionally. When this happens, older versions of the Java software will have features that are deprecated in the new version. This can cause errors if a feature that has been deprecated is required with the Java applet. For this reason, it is important that the correct version be used and, if possible, the specific update that the Java software was written for is used.
