Issue
How can I get an output to power a sounder or strobe during Entry Delay?
Solution
This can be done by using a D8129 Octorelay with one relay programmed as Area Armed and another relay programmed as Perimeter Fault and a D130 relay in a latching configuration.
Address the D8129 Octorelay for the desired series of eight relays, and then connect it to the panel. Ensure that the data wire goes to the proper zonex for the relays to be used. (Relays 1 – 64 Zonex 1, 65 – 128 Zonex 2). In the programming in Area Wide Relays assign your chosen relay numbers in the Area Armed and Perimeter Fault for the desired area.
To wire this take the negative of the power source wether it be the panel or an Aux Power Supply and connect it to the Negative trip on the D130 Relay and to the negative of the device to be powered. Connect the positive wire to the relay common on the Area Armed Relay. From the N/O on the Area Armed Relay connect it to the relay common on the Perimeter Fault Relay and a relay common on the D130 Relay. From the N/O on the Perimeter Fault Relay connect it to the positive trip on the D130 Relay and the other relay common. Also connect a jumper from positive trip to N/O next to the relay common that is connected to the Area Armed Relay. On the D130 N/O that is next to the relay common that connects to the Perimeter Fault Relay connect the N/O to the positive side of the device to be powered.
