Overview: If "Service Printer" is being displayed at they keypad(s), it me be due to a ground fault being caused by the printer.
Issue
- Check panel compatibility for use with the 9131A
- Check wiring from the panel to the 9131A
- IEEE-1284 Parallel cable with standard Centronics connector is being used
- Check all necessary programming and switch settings
After verifying that the steps have been taken and all settings are correct for both hardware and in programming, check for a ground fault being caused by the printer.
If a ground fault is present when the printer is connected to the 9131A and plugged into the "wall outlet", the ground fault could be being caused by the "grounding prong" on the printer cable. A "3 prong" to "2 prong" adaptor placed on the end of the printer cable that connects to the "wall outlet" will address this issue.
