When using a REX sensor configured as 'resettable' with a door control module, the door may be expected to remain released as long as the REX sensor detects motion.
When there is continued motion the REX sensor remains tripped and its relay remains energized. However, once the short is applied to the door control module REX (or RTE) inputs, the programmed Strike, Shunt and Extend time is initiated. These programmed settings are not affected by the length of time the REX sensor remains tripped by motion.
