When using keypad programming to enter phone numbers, a 0 entry is a ‘Terminate’ command for the panel, i.e. “stop dialing”. Zero’s area entered as 10. Therefore, if the phone number was 18005551212, the entry would look like [1-8-10-10-5-5-5-1-2-1-2]
If the 800-phone number were entered as 1-8-0-0… the panel would dial the 1 and 8 and then terminate dialing. If the program included a backup phone number, also entered as 1-8-0-0-… the panel would dial the two numbers and then disconnect.
When programming phone numbers into the D4412/6412 using keypad programming, the 0 is entered with a 10. When entry of 0 is made, the panel sees it as a Terminate command and will stop dialing.
