The maximum distance that the DX2010 can be remote located from the control panel is determined by whether or not the DX2010 is supplying auxiliary power to devices.
The DX2010 has the capacity to provide 12 VDC at up to 100 mA from the auxiliary Output (+) OUT (-) terminals to power external devices such as motion detectors.
- If the DX2010 is NOT supolying aux power to devices:
- Using #22AWG Wire: 1,000'.
- Using #18 AWG Wire: 2,000'
- If the DX2010 IS supplying up to 100mA aux power to devices:
- Using #22AWG Wire: 100'.
- Using #18 AWG Wire: 250'
The DX2010 can be remoted up to 1000 feet from the control panel using 22 AWG wire and 2000 feet on 18 gauge wire.
If an auxillary power supply is used
When NOT using the auxiliary power output from the DX2010, you can remote the DX2010 up to 1000 feet on 22 gauge wire and 2000 feet on 18 gauge wire.
