Documentation for most motions with a built in popit recommend programming as:

This type of programming does not provide for the entry delay that is sometimes required.
Motion detectors using built in Popits report a shorted condition to the control panel when faulted. These 'popit-motions' that use a tamper switch report a missing condition when the tamper is faulted.
When a delay response is required, use a point response of 6, 7 or 8 to start an entry delay on the faulted (short) condition.
Note below where a D (Delay) is displayed for point responses 6, 7 & 8.
