All 7000/9000, G and GV2 Series control panels use a lithium battery to provide power to retain programming parameters when the panel loses primary and secondary power. This battery is designed to last for several years when the control panel is installed and operational. However, if the control panel is left powered off or loses AC and battery backup power for an extended time, the battery may become depleted. If the lithium battery voltage drops too low the control panel will lose it's lock code and all programming and require replacement.
WARNING: If the control panel looses primary and secondary power and the Lithium battery is removed all programming will be lost including Datalock information requiring the control panel to be replaced.
