What is the recommended cable layout for 485 devices to 485 devices, ex: 1320 to 1320 or 1320 to LNL500 etc.?
Communication cables for RS-485 should be laid out in a daisy chain. Long stubs (T connection) should be avoided because they create discontinuities and degrade the signals. DO NOT connect devices in a star configuration, unless using a LNL-8000 Star multiplexer. Star connections create long stubs and causes difficulty in cable termination.
