Use the following steps to upgrade an access panel in System Administration.
1. Backup your system's database. Upgrades cannot be reversed, so the backup will be the only way to revert to the previous configuration.
2. In System Administration, browse to: Access Control | Access Panels. Select the appropriate tab for the panel you would like to upgrade. Highlight and right-click on the access panel you would like to upgrade. Select the appropriate option starting with, "Promote Access Panel to" followed by the panel type you are upgrading to. This option cannot be reversed, so verify that you are selecting the correct panel type.
3. Once the panel has been upgraded in System Administration and the new hardware has been installed in the field, download the firmware to the new panel. To do this, open Alarm Monitoring then right-click on your panel in the Hardware Status Tree and select Download Firmware. This will download the firmware and database to the newly installed panel.
4. Test the system.
