The Global I/O's are set up correctly, but will not work on the Readykey Pro system.
Solution
To ensure that the Global I/Os operate, you will need to verify that the Linkage Server is turned on.
- First, verify that the system’s configuration has the proper Linkage Server Host name. To check this, perform the following steps:
- Click on the Start button on the Readykey Pro server that will be running the Linkage Server on your system. Then go to Programs, Readykey Pro, and click on System Administration. Log into the program.
- Click on Administration, then System Options.
- Select the General System Options tab.
- The third configuration setting on this page will be the Linkage Server Host. Make sure that the host name selected is the name of the computer that will be running the Linkage Server on your system. If this name does not match exactly, click Modify. Now click on the Browse button for the Linkage Server Host section and browse to the correct computer on your network. Select it from the list. Click Okay.
- Turn on the linkage server by clicking on the Start button on the Readykey Pro server. Then go to Programs, Readykey Pro, and click on Linkage Server.
At this point, your Global I/O's should respond properly if correctly configured.
