Issue
Will the receiver try different ACK tones if a tone has already been established for the given Caller ID number with handshake optimization?
Solution
Yes, if the panel does not repond to the ACK tone specified through Handshake Optimization, it will begin to cycle through all of the ACK tones programmed on that line card until it finds a new match. That new ACK tone will then be the one used for Handshake Optimization on the next call from that number. This is useful in case a panel's message format changes, or there are two panels dialing in from one number with different formats.
