Issue - What effect does alarm verification have on the point? Solution - When an Alarm Verification point enters into alarm, the control panel removes power from all Resettable points for the duration programmed in A# Verify Time. When power is reapplied, a 60-second confirmation window begins. If the detector is still in alarm and experiences another alarm during the confirmation window, or a different Resettable Verification point in the area sense a alarm, an alarm occurs. Program Point Index: Fire Point, Alarm Verify, and Resettable to YES. Program A# Alarm Verify: The default of 60 seconds meets UL 864 4th edition requirements. Use Alarm Verify with fire points only. During Fire Walk test, the reset time is 5 seconds. The Reset Sensors time (CMD 47) converts from the 5 second default time to the time programmed in A# Verify Time when a point programmed for P## Alarm Verify enters into alarm condition. Unverified Event report is not related to A# Verify Time. Unverified events are for cross points. Do not enable Cross Point if Alarm Verify is enabled.
