What should the meter reading be when testing the sensitivity of a Bosch smoke detector using the D1005 test cable?

Using a Digital Volt Meter (DVM)
The meter reading will be one-half of the detector's current sensitivity and the rated sensitivity range should be between 2.1Vdc and 3.9Vdc. Therefore a proper reading is between 1.05Vdc and 1.95Vdc.
- When available, connect the D1005 Test cable into the detector’s voltage calibration pins.
- Connect the negative meter lead to the D1005 black wire. Connect the positive meter lead to the D1005 red wire, note the D1005 white wire is not used.
- A meter may also be used by connecting the positive meter lead to the center calibration voltage pin and the negative lead to either outside calibration voltage pin.
- The voltage measured equals half the sensitivity (in %/ft obscuration) of the smoke detector. An acceptable reading is between 1.05Vdc and 1.95Vdc with 1.5Vdc being perfect.
