The Remote Security Certificate Builder panel list is empty, no panels display in the software.
1. Certificates can only be generated for GV4 or B series panels. Verify there are GV4 and/or B series control panels listed in the RPS database that the software is connecting to. a. Open RPS to view the Panel List Screen b. Check the Panel Type column for GV4 or B series panels 2. Ensure the filter line above the panel list is clear by pressing the X located to the right of the Filter entry. 3. If there are multiple RPS databases verify the Remote Security Certificate Builder software is connecting to the correct one. The SQL Server name and Database names in RPS and the Certificate Builder software should be the same. Follow the below steps to compare database connecton settings between RPS and Certificate Builder. Note: Because the RPS software currently connects to the database, No changes should be made to the RPS Database settings! a. On the top of the front page of RPS currently open, select Config and then System. b. Select Database settings tab; the below screen appears. Move this box to the side of your screen to compare to the Remote Security Certificate Builder database settings. Do not change the entries in this screen.
c. Open the Remote Security Certificate Builder software
d. Don’t log-into the software but instead select Database Settings.
e. Select Manage on the line that reads RPS. Note: A-link only applies to control panels sold outside the US. The line which reads A-Link can be ignored.
4. Compare the SQL Server Name in the database settings of Remote Certificate Builder with those in the RPS database settings to ensure both are the same. If the database settings of Remote Certificate Builder and RPS are different, then the software is not connecting to the correct database.

Log into the D6200 Software (D6100 receiver configuration shown) 2. Go to the System Management Menu 3. Select the firmware Utilities Sub-Menu 4. Select "One Button Tech Support" from that menu. 5. When prompted for confirmation, select "Yes". 6. This will begin the process of gathering all relevant data from the receiver, and is more comprehensive than the base files normally found in the D6200 program directory. 7. This generates a new file that is to be sent to the Technical Support Representative. The screen indicates the location and filename of the generated file. In this case, it has generated a file called OBTech5_55_44_PM_1_7_2015.zip (this is because the file was generated at 5:55 PM on 1/7/2015) and placed that file in the C:\Program Files (x86)\D6200 folder. 8. Maneuver to that location and attach the OBTech zip file to an email and send to the email address provided to you by the agent.

There are three Two-Way audio modes of operation: Transfer: D6x00 transfers the incoming line to another line, a flash operation is performed at end of event signal, the receiver then dials another line which is programmed at "Transfer Phone Number" (see Section Transfer Phone Number. Entries in sections Flash (x 100ms) (126.96.36.199) and Transfer Phone Number (188.8.131.52) are necessary for this mode of operation. Hold: The D6x00 keeps off-hook status for a programmed period; another control device should take over the line before hold time expires. Entry at Section Hold is necessary for this mode of operation. Duration: The D6x00 keeps off-hook status until a programmed period expires or terminates by a STOP command via automation or keypad. A regular telephone should be connected in parallel with the incoming telephone line. Entry at Section 184.108.40.206 Duration is necessary for this mode of operation. The D6600 ONLY performs one of these modes of operation. If more than one is activated, the priority is Transfer Ø Hold Ø Duration. 220.127.116.11 Duration This entry determines how long the D6600 stays on line when it is in the two way audio operation. The time is set in one minute increments. A setting of 0 disables the two-way audio feature. 18.104.22.168 – 22.214.171.124 Digit x Enable The D6600/D6100IPv6 decodes the first digit of the account number to determine when to start two-way audio operations. If the first digit of the account number matches the selection, the two-way audio is activated. 126.96.36.199 Flash With this option programmed for 1 to 20 (x 100 ms), the CPU will first send the two-way audio signal to automation software via RS-232, then the line will be hook-flashed for the pre-programmed duration, and it stays in off hook position for another 5 seconds, then disconnects. 188.8.131.52 Transfer Phone Number The receiver will dial the number programmed here when in a two-way audio session 184.108.40.206 Hold With this option programmed for 01 to 99 seconds, the line card will maintain the off-hook status the pre-programmed duration after the audio event signal is sent to the automation software, in order to have the software-controlled PBX pick up the line, then hang up. 220.127.116.11 Audio Event By selecting alarm event codes, the receiver can control what signals are enabled for two-way audio. If this field is unchecked the event code option will be ignored in the signal filtering process. This option is available for Pulse 3/1, 3/2, 4/1, 4/2, DTMF 4/1, 4/2, 4/3 and Contact ID formats. Solution: Configure Remote Security Control to work with compatible alarm panels by using the below steps. Download the Remote Security App in your mobile device. Go to the App Store for iOS devices or the Google Play Store for Android and download Remote Security. Properly configure the panel to access to IP Cameras. Note: It is advisable to add Service, User and Live passcodes for increased security. Go to Panel Wide Parameters and IP Cameras and enter: Static IP address or DNS host name of the camera. Service and Live passwords configured in the camera Create bidirectional TCP port forwarding rules to access cameras from outside the home network. Note: Press F1 on select parameters for assistance with entries. Enter the panel’s public IP or DNS address to the account in the Network tab located in the Panel Data View screen. Do not enter the private IP address in this location. Select the panel from the ‘View Panel List’ screen Press the ‘View’ icon as described below Press the Edit button to access the panel Data – Edit screen Select the Network Tab and enter the Public IP address or DNS address and Panel Port. The Time Out setting can remain at 15sec. Press OK to save changes. Do Not enter the private IP address here Ensure Port Forwarding rules are in place for bidirectional TCP/UDP to access the panel from outside the network. Create a certificate and send it to the mobile device a. Select the panel from the View Panel List screen b. Press the icon: ‘Build Remote Access Profile' From the Remote Access Profile Builder dialog on the next screen, select the type of connection to be used: Options that are greyed out are unavailable due to missing information. Hover the curser over the option to see what information is missing. Press Next to select users to be added to the Remote Access Profile. Names will display only for users with correct entries for the items below. Notice above, user 2 does not display because Remote Access is set to No. Passcode, Remote Access=Yes Proper Authority Add users to the profile by checking the box beside the user name or press Select All to add all available users and press Next The next screen provides the option to select an active date range when the profile will work and can be controlled by the dealer. Make any needed changes and press Next. Lastly the Profile Summary screen displays. If you have an email client installed and configured on the RPS computer you can generate a prewritten email with instructions by pressing ‘Create Email’. Once the email has been created either with your email client or other means, press ‘Open File Location’ to access the Profile and attach it to the email.
