Secure locations such as safes or cash rooms require users to use a credential to gain access to enter the location, and then again for egress.  This is commonly called a Card In - Card Out application. Requirements:  Access Control compatible Intrusion alarm panel compatible; B8512G/B9512G, B6512 and the various D7412 and D9412 panel types.  Two B901 or D9210C access control modules. (the D9210C must be used on GV4 type panels) Two 26bit wiegand format readers and compatible credentials.  One reader to be used on each door. Use same reader types for both entry and exit to avoid compatibility conflicts between credentials.  Note: The D9210B is only compatible with D7412/D9412, G, GV2 and GV3. Do not use with GV4 or newer panel types.  Installation: Install a Reader outside of the room and wire to the Primary D9210. This will be the ‘Card-In’ reader. Install a Reader inside the room and wire to the Secondary D9210. This will be the ‘Card-Out’ reader Connect the secondary D9210 Form-C normally open contacts to the primary D9210C Request to Exit (REX) terminals. Connect the primary D9210 Form-C relay contacts to the door locking device. Operation: Enter the room by presenting the credential to the reader, outside the room, wired to the Primary D9210. Access is granted and the door opens for entry. Exit the room by presenting the credential to the reader, inside the room, wired to the Secondary D9210. The secondary 9210 Form-C normally open contacts will present a short to the Primary D9210 Request to Exit contacts and the door opens. If programmed, the Access Granted event generated upon entry is logged by user name. When the D1265 display is not centered causing some of the buttons to become outside the viewing area, calibrating the keypad may correct the problem. Steps to calibrate the D1265: Power down the D1265 by removing the keypad from the mounting plate. Reconnect the keypad back in place. Press an hold the screen as the D1265 powers up until the beeping stops and release your finger.   On the menu that displays, select Calibrate. Press the ( + ) in each corner on the screen. The control panel will adjust its clock according to US daylight savings time rules. GV3 control panels with firmware version 8.10 and greater and GV4 Ver1 control panels: Go to AUXPARAM and Miscellaneous. Set Daylight Savings Time= US Calendar.      The control panel will adjust its clock according to US daylight savings time rules. GV3 Control Panels with firmware Version 8.09 and earlier, and all GV2 or G or Non-G type panels: Legacy panels do not have automatic functionality to follow daylight savings time.  A schedule is required to advance time in the spring and retard time in the fall. Note: This article only works with B8512G, B9512G and B-Series panel types. Example Situation: The panel is required to disarm on access granted events from an acess control system but not rearm on additional access granted events. Solution: A point can be configured to activate a custom function and disarm a selected area (or areas). This point could be tripped by an access system, disarming the area(s).  Additional trips of the configured point would not rearm the area(s). Program a custom Function to perform the disarm of a selected area(s).  2.  Select the Function to be Disarm, then in the field: Parameter1:Area# check the box(s) for the area(s) to disarm. 3.  Select a Point Index which is not used by any other point in the system.  Set the Point Type to CUSTOM FUNCTION, set the Custom Function (at the bottom of the point index items) to the CF to be used for disarming. 4.  Assign this Point Index to the point to be tripped by the access system. The Custom Function will activate upon the first trip of the point and disarm the area(s). Bosch control panels communicate with a network receiver using either Onboard IP, a cellular card attached to the panel, a B426, B450 or DX4020 (SDI only) network communicator, depending on the panel type. When troubleshooting, the physical address of the network communicator and which path (1-4) was used for communication, are used to isolate the problem. Different methods are used to display the physical address and path depending on the type of panel experiencing the problem. This article explains how to interpret the keypad display on different panel types. Network interface when used on the SDI bus: Legacy SDI panels addressed the B426 or DX4020 as SDI 88 or SDI 92 (GV3). The SDI xx report indicates both the network communicator address and the path number. When addressed as SDI 88 the path number is indicated by incrementing SDI 88 as 88-91.
