Crowd Density Estimation and IVA Flow has been removed from IVA Pro

1. What FW versions did Crowd Density Estimation get removed from IVA Pro?
2. What to use in replacement for Crowd Density Estimation?
3. How to remove the unrecognized task?

 

Answers:

1. What FW versions did Crowd Density Estimation and IVA Flow get removed from IVA Pro?

If your cameras have IVA Pro while using an older FW version. You will not have Crowd Density Estimation or IVA Flow anymore starting with

• CPP13:
  • FW 8.48.
• CPP14:
  •  FLEXIDOME panoramic FW 9.40.
  • FLEXIDOME multi-sensor: FW 9.00.
  • Other CPP14 cameras: FW 8.70.

2. What to use in replacement for Crowd Density Estimation?

• If your cameras are on the latest FW and Crowd detection is no longer available:
  • It is recommended to use one of the 2 below as a replacement for Crowd Density Estimation.
    • IVA Pro Building/Traffic with an occupancy counter
    • IVA Pro Perimeter with 3D people tracking mode with occupancy counter. 

Refer to the Release letter for FW 9.00.

  • Crowd detection and IVA Flow are not included as part of the IVA Pro packs, and therefore no
    longer available on CPP14. Following the upgrade to version 9.00.0210, VCA tasks will
    continue to appear in the alarm overview; however, their functionality will be disabled. It is
    advisable to delete VCA tasks related to crowd detection and IVA Flow before initiating the
    upgrade.

3. How to remove the unrecognized task?

If you upgraded and had a Crowd Detection task active you may see it listed as seen below.

• Simply delete the task to remove.
