What does the Status 4 or Status 6 message mean for MIC IP FUSION 9000i?
Cause: The PoE source detected during the auto-negotiation provides less than 95 W. The Pan motor, tilt motor, and the heaters will be disabled.
Possible Solutions
- Replace the PoE source with a midspan or switch that can provide 95 W for the MIC 9000i.
- If a 3rd party PoE source is being used, then you have to contact the manufacturer for assistance.
Cause: When operating using redundant power sources, the camera is detecting insufficient voltage being provided by the external 24 VAC power source.
Possible Solutions
- Ensure that the power cable doesn’t exceed the distances listed in the Installation Manual.
- Measure the voltage at the camera while connected to the camera to confirm that the power is at least 21.6 VAC.
- Replace the 24 VAC power source with one that can provide 72 W (4.1A).
- MIC has PoE priority, therefore ensure that the connected ethernet cable can provide sufficient power.
if the intention is to only provide 24VAC, ensure PoE on the switch port is turned off
The code is cleared using the “AUX OFF 65” Acknowledge command.
- The condition will be checked again 24 hours after the ACK command was issued. If the condition still exists, then the code will be displayed again.
Note
Be aware that a wrong midspan used with the MIC-9502-Z30WVF causes the “Status 4” error.
Please make sure to use the correct midspans as mentioned in its Datasheet, such as NPD-9501-E.
