What kind of Bosch extensions are supported with the Forensic Search?

Answer

To be able to run a forensic search on stored metadata, this data needs to be pulled in a special manner from Bosch cameras, which needs to be implemented in the Genetec driver.

In Security Center 5.10, only the ‘Legacy (CPP 7.3 and older)’ Bosch extension is supported.

In Security Center 5.11 the ‘Legacy’ and the ‘Other (CPP 13 and newer)' driver extension support the forensic search functionality. However the functionality was introduced with Driver Pack 11.3 with a additional Archiver setting.

With Driver Pack 11.5 this setting is obsolete.

To enable the special setting follow the next steps:

1. Open the 'Config Tool'
2. Select the 'Archiver' that manages the relevant cameras.
3. Select the 'Resources' tab on the Archiver settings and click: 'Advanced Settings ...'

4     On the 'Advanced settings' click 'Additional settings...'

5    On the 'Additional settings...' add the following key-value pair: BoschHybridDriverVcaMetadata=true
