What to be considered when BMC connection is active on DIP AIO 7000 gen4?

Remote operation using BMC iKVM interface:
By default, the DIVAR IP all-in-one 7000 devices are intended to operate with one or two local monitors, connected to HDMI interfaces on the rear of the unit.
If no local monitors are connected to the HDMI interfaces, the unit can be remotely controlled using the BMC iKVM interface.
To allow remote control to the system:
1. Make sure that no local HDMI monitor is connected to the system.
2. Sign in to the BMC web interface.
3. In the menu pane on the left, select the page Remote Control.
4. Click the Launch H5Viewer button.
A windows opens, showing the DIVAR IP all-in-one 7000 monitor output and providing control to the mouse and the keyboard of the remote machine.
Local monitor with BMC connected:
 If NO HDMI is connected, then iKVM over BMC port is active and available. In this case, it is supported to remove VGA cover and use it as local admin monitor, not to run the Operator Client.
Connection of a VGA monitor is an option, not a must in order to use iKVM over BMC port. |
To connect a VGA monitor, remove the cover and connect the monitor to the VGA port. The output will mirror the iKVM output, but the resolution is limited, and transcoding is not available.
Both iKVM and VGA output are only used for administrative purposes, but all setup and operation steps are available via BMC iKVM:
