DX4020 (Ethernet card) RPS programming over a network
Install card on SDI bus (address 88)
Switch 1,2,3, down the rest up
Short the LED pins and you should have 2 flashing red LED’s
To Arp the DX4020 card use a computer with a crossover cable or patch cable over a network.
Click on (Start ~> Run ~> type in CMD)
In the Dos Screen type Arp –s [IP address wanted] [Mac address of dx4020 printed on the “xport” Ethernet jack] ~> enter
To check : Type in same dos window Arp –g ~> enter to display Arp table
Set the computer IP address one IP address number away from the DX4020.
(Start ~> control panel ~> network connections ~> local area connection )
To Telnet card use computer with a crossover cable or patch cable over a network.
Click on (Start ~> Run ~> type in CMD)
In the Dos Screen type telnet ~> enter, then Open [Arped IP Address] 1 ~> enter Note: This will fail with minimal delay
In the Dos Screen press “F3” Delete the 1 and type in 9999 ~> Enter ~>Enter
To program the DX4020, using telnet use the following process
you have a menu with option 0-9
press “0” for server configuration
Step 1: type in the IP address by octet (e.g. 192 ~>enter 168 ~> enter 1 ~> enter 100 ~> enter ) = Dx4020 IP 192.168.1.100)
Step 2: set gateway address (use only with WAN setup) type in the IP address by octet (e.g. 192 ~>enter 168 ~> enter 1 ~> enter 1 ~> enter ) = gateway IP 192.168.1.1)
Step 3: Type in the host bits (subnet) 8 = 255.255.255.0, 16 = 255.255..0.0, 24 = 255.0.0.0 ~> press enter
Step 4: Change telnet Config password “N” ~>enter
Press “1” for channel 1 configuration
The following setting should be: Baud Rate = 9600 ~>enter, I/F mode = 4C ~> enter, Flow =00 ~> enter, Port No =7700 ~> enter, Connect Mode = CC ~> enter , Datagram = 02 ~> enter
Press “9” to save and exit
Communicate with the panel over a LAN or WAN, using the IP address Programmed into the DX4020 using RPS (latest revision)
