For fast incident retrieval, the free Forensic Search Plug-in seamlessly integrates with Genetec Security Center and is fully compatible with all Bosch cameras.
It uses the metadata generated by Bosch cameras with edge-based analytics to enhance investigative capabilities, empowering security professionals to more easily pinpoint video of specific events.
When the Bosch Forensic Search Plug-in is installed and configured, it can be used from Genetec Security Desk.
Step-by-step guide
1. To access it, log in with your Genetec Server credentials and select the Forensic Search button in the Investigation section.
2. The camera list shows all supported Bosch cameras in the system. Specific cameras can be chosen or the full system can be selected:
3. Select the date and time for the search.
4. Fill in the appropriate fields or use the menus to select the correct time and date to search.
5. Select Save all if you would like to repeat this specific search later.
6. Scroll down and click the Configure tasks button. A window showing the camera view and forensic search task options will open. The chosen cameras can be selected from a drop-down menu at the top of the window.
7. To configure a Forensic Search task, choose one of the 13 available search triggers, such as Crossing Line or Loitering.
8. Each task has many optional settings. For details on each option, read the online manual by clicking the ? icon.
For this Crossing Line task, various object classes may be available depending on the camera model and analytics settings.
9. Once the task is configured, click Apply Settings. Then, click Generate report to start the Forensic Search.
10. In the results, purple indicates the selected clip. The selected clip displays in the large tile. Click the blue lines or small tiles to change the event being viewed.
11. Information about the selected clip is displayed next to the large tile.
12. At the top of the screen, the report summary details the total results found with the option to see the results per selected camera.
13. Select All cameras or specific cameras to filter the results per camera or filter by tasks by using the filter All rules or specific rules selection.
14. To store a link to a clip, use the Bookmark Clip option. Search results can also be exported to a CSV file.
