Why does the System Overview of my Bosch camera show the I/O controller FW version as zeros?
Answer
If the I/O controller FW version is all zeros, here are the possibilities:
- The Alarm I/O box isn’t connected to the MIC.
- The RS485 wires between the camera and the I/O box have a wiring mistake.
- Example, reversed leads, incorrect wire type, exceeded the maximum distance, etc.
- The Application Variant in the Installer menu hasn’t been changed to MIC IP xxxx IO.
- Use the HW Reset button to default the camera. Refer to the Operation Manual.
- If none of the above corrects the issue, then contact the Bosch Security Systems RMA desk to return BOTH the camera and the Alarm I/O box for repair. This case requires the involvement of the repair desk. (Follow the steps 1-5 from here)
