Why does the System Overview of my Bosch camera show the IR controller FW version as zeros?
Answer
If the IR controller FW version is all zeros, here are the possibilities:
- The IR illuminator isn’t installed on the MIC 7100i.
- OR, the IR illuminator isn’t installed correctly. Ensure that all of the screws are tightened correctly so that there isn’t any visible gap between the Illuminator and the shell.
- OR, there is a loss of communications between the IR controller and the SC.
- Reboot the unit.
- Reinstall or Upgrade the FW.
- Power cycle the unit.
- Use the HW Reset button to default the camera. Refer to the Operation Manual.
- If none of the above corrects the issue, then contact the Bosch Security Systems RMA desk to return BOTH the camera and the IR illuminator for repair. This case requires the involvement of the repair desk. (Follow the steps 1-5 from here)
