Question
Which are the capabilities and limitations of DIVAR IP AIO & Remote System Management – Blueprints?
Answer
- In BVMS operation mode, both the DIVAR IP as well as the connected cameras can be managed and monitored through the Remote System Management cloud connection.
- In VRM and iSCSI operation mode, only the DIVAR IP is managed and monitored through Remote System Management.
Each DIVAR IP unit connects individually to Remote Portal where they can be organized and grouped according to user preferences.
Each DIVAR IP needs to be licensed, no matter the blueprint.
Blueprint A: DIVAR IP all-in-one standalone system
- Shows a standalone DIVAR IP in BVMS operation mode with a single cloud connection from the DIVAR IP to Remote Portal
Blueprint B: DIVAR IP head system in BVMS operation mode plus additional iSCSI storage units (excl. Operator Client on workstation)
- A more complex system with one DIVAR IP head system in BVMS operation mode, and two further DIVAR IPs that are configured in iSCSI mode and which act as storage devices for the head system.
- The cameras in this system are configured on the head system, and this is also where they are found in Remote System Management, regardless of where they are recording, as they are supported on the BVMS operation mode system only.
- The Operator Client running on the separate Workstation, though part of the complete system, is not monitored in Remote Portal, this is why it is crossed out in the graphic.
- Each DIVAR IPs needs to be connected to Remote Portal individually, where they can then be organized and grouped according to preference.
- Each DIVAR IP needs to be licensed for Remote System Management individually as well.
Blueprint C: DIVAR IP head system in BVMS operation mode plus additional iSCSI storage and VRM mode units (excl. Operator Client on workstation)
Here we have a more distributed system, this time across several buildings. The same principles apply as before:
- DIVAR IPs need to be connected to Remote Portal individually as well as be licensed individually, in order to be managed and monitored through Remote System Management.
- Cameras will be found under the head system that is running in BVMS operation mode, while the DIVAR IPs configured in VRM operation mode and iSCSI-storage only operation mode, support management of the DIVAR IP only.
- The Operator Client running on the separate Workstation, though part of the complete system, is not monitored in Remote Portal, this is why it is crossed out in the graphic.
