The point Index is set to (0), yet the point still displays in trouble at the keypad and as Extra Point in the panel History Log. How to correct this senario.
The FLM-7024-ISO MUX bus isolator module is placed between devices on the MUX bus. A short on the bus causes activation of the isolators adjacent to either side of the short. This effectively separates all devices between the activated isolators from the rest of the bus. This prevents failure of the entire bus. When the short condition is removed, the isolators automatically restore the entire loop to normal operation.
This article discusses how to send reports to the CS (Central Monitoring Station) from the FPA-1000-V2. We can network up to 8 of the FPA-1000-V2 panels together. Each panel can report to the CS by itself, or one panel can report for all. In either configuration, each panel needs its own unique account number.
Overview
When devices are connected to the Option Bus on the FPD-7024, the bus must be scanned allowing the panel to see the device. After removing devices, such as the DX4020, DX4010V2 or DX4010i, the option bus must be scanned again to complete the removal, or the panel continues to supervise the device resulting in a keypad display: Trouble DX4020 and history event: SYSTRB017.
Issue
After completing programming the panel reports trouble DX4020; history shows SYSTRB017
Solution
After removing the DX4020, DX4010V2 or DX4010i, the option bus must be scanned again to complete the removal or the panel continues to supervise the device.
From the Panel Keypad (not a remote keypad) perform the following steps to update the option bus:
Select 0 for PROGRAMMING and enter the installer code
Select 3 for PROGRAM SYSTEM
Select 4 for OPTION BUS
Select 1 for UPDATE BUS
Question
What does it mean when the panel displays a trouble of "Dialer Answering Unknown"?
Answer
"Dialer Answering Unknown" is caused by the panel answering an incoming phone call. This will cause a trouble tone from the panel that will clear itself when the panel releases the line, this may take up to 10 minutes. If another event (Alarm, Trouble, Supervisory) occurs during this time, the panel will drop the line and dial out to the central station.
To prevent or stop this set the Line 1 Ring Count to (0).
