The latest version offers a map-based tracking assistant and improved geographical awareness with online maps. Read on to learn how to configure the map-based tracking assistant. The map-based tracking assistant requires a license. Before beginning, check the license in Configuration Client by accessing the License Inspector, which is found under the Tools menu. The value of the Online map and Map-based tracking assistant licenses must list "True" in the License Limit column.   Step-by-step guide   To enable the map-based tracking assistant feature: Click Settings and select Options from the drop-down list.   Enable the map-based tracking assistant and select the map type from the drop down list. Enter the customer specific API received in the email with the license order and click the Test button. The API connection status should be OK. Please be careful not to confuse the API key with the App ID that must be introduced within the "Customer specific API key" field in Configuration Client. Save and activate the settings. Next, adjust the view area of PTZ cameras on the map: Type in the location where the cameras are installed and adjust the map to fit the area surveilled by the cameras. Drag and drop PTZ cameras on the map where they are installed and adjust the reachable view by following the on-screen tips.   Show a preview of the camera by clicking the eye button or right clicking the camera icon. The preview window shows the live camera image. Adjust the view cone on the map. The view cone should correspond to the direction the camera is looking (shown in the preview window).   Next, drag and drop fixed cameras on the map and adjust the view cones based on the settings of the camera lens, including distance and horizontal field of view.   Then, create the map viewport in the logical tree. This article explains the proper address selection when connecting the B450 to a Bosch Intrusion Panel. This information is needed to determine which address to select based on panel type, panel firmware revision and if Remote Programming Software will use the B450 to connect to the panel.   Step-by-step guide   Note the sticker on the front of the B450 which indicates switch positions for selecting an SDI2, SDI or Option Bus address (see figure 1).   Figure 1 Sticker with address configurations B8512G, B9512G and B-Series types: The B450 is not required when the cellular communicator will be installed in the Mod-1 (lower) plug-in slot. Use the B450 in applications where signal strength is weak at the panel location. Install the B450 in a remote location with stronger signal strength and connect to SDI2. Follow the instructions below for GV4 panel types connecting to SDI2. GV4 Panel Types: SDI2: Only 1 network communicator is allowed on a single address. Use address 1 or 2 as needed to avoid conflicting with another network communicator on the same address. Connections with Remote Programming Software are available on either address 1 or 2. GV4 or GV3 using SDI: Only 1 network communicator is allowed on a single address. Use address 88 or 92 as needed to avoid conflicting with another network communicator on the same address. When used as sole communicator or as back-up communicator to Phone line, use address 4 for SDI address 88. When used as back-up communicator to Ethernet (B426) use address 5 for SDI address 92, unless the B450 will be used for RPS connections (see note 4 below). It must first be determined which is in use before selecting the B450 address: Newer types with firmware version 1.06 and higher. These types are identified by icons on the keypad instead of words (see figure 2). Older types with firmware version 1.03 and lower. These types are identified by words on the keypad.
