    If you are facing unknown problems with your DICENTIS wired system and you need advice from the technical support on that we will ask for log files and other information to start our analysis. For that reason this little program was created to make the extraction of all needed log files, system settings and other data more easily to extract. In future it is planed to integrate this in our software.

    In some cases, especially if you use a 3rd party PC as DICENTIS Server, it could be necessary to update your network driver. For example, if discussion units show a red LED from time to time or your DICENTIS is dropping out it could be related to the network driver. Be aware that a normal Windows Update will not refresh this driver and you have to update it manually!

    If something is not working well in the Microsoft Windows Server it will be recorded in the Event Viewer (log files) and can indicate where the error occurs. This is a good tool for the Technical Support to figure out if there are considerable issues in the Windows and other programs.

    If you want to get a reliable and safe working discussion system please keep both Windows and DICENTIS up dated! You need to enable  "update your Windows and other Microsoft products" under Advanced setting to get all necessary updates.

    In some cases it could be necessary that you need to maintain the Microsoft SQL database which DICENTIS is using to save participants, user, seats and settings. In the next steps I will explain some of the basics commands.

    This short instruction will show you how to return and activate DICENTIS licenses with the old license model. It is capt for documentation purpose since some old license system are still in the market. This instruction is only meant for the old license model with DCNM-LSYS and single function licenses which we stopped selling in 2024 and must be changed at some point in time to the new license model if you want to have further updates of our software. We will make special offers after the SMA extinguished to our customers and we expect that most of them will be switching within 5 years to Premium or Ultimate our new participant based license system. The new license system does only work with >5.00 or higher wile the register function was already implemented in 4.40.
