Perform these steps to enable the D7024, FPD-7024, DS9400, DS9400I, and DS9400M for RPS programming via phone line with a compatible RPS modem: Press (0) Enter Program Mode. Enter Pin (Default is 9876). Press (6) Accounts. Press (4) Ring Count. Set Ring Count to (02) #. Press the (*) key two times or until you see PROGRAM MODES. Press (3) System. Press (7) Remote Program. Press (1) Enable. Press the (*) key five times to Exit Program Mode. You need to dial Line 1 on the panel. It is the second line down on the panel (it is NOT the line in the top right). Before connecting with RPS, perform an Auto-Learn with at least one Mux Device connected to the Mux loop, then send your RPS program to the panel. Press (0) Enter Program Mode. Enter Pin (default is 9876). Press (9) Program Mux. Press (4) Auto Program. Press (1) Yes.
From RPS in the following panels DS9400, DS9400I, DS9400M, D7024, and FPD-7024 you have the option to set Anti-takeover Setting to one of the following. a.)Allow all local programming: All programming items may be accessed from the local keypad. b.) Lock phone/account numbers only: All programming except phone numbers and account numbers may be accessed from the local keypad. c.) Lock all local programming (except Date/Time and all user PINs): Allows only the Date and Time to be set from a local keypad.
Overview
When devices are connected to the Option Bus on the FPD-7024, the bus must be scanned allowing the panel to see the device. After removing devices, such as the DX4020, DX4010V2 or DX4010i, the option bus must be scanned again to complete the removal, or the panel continues to supervise the device resulting in a keypad display: Trouble DX4020 and history event: SYSTRB017.
Issue
After completing programming the panel reports trouble DX4020; history shows SYSTRB017
Solution
After removing the DX4020, DX4010V2 or DX4010i, the option bus must be scanned again to complete the removal or the panel continues to supervise the device.
From the Panel Keypad (not a remote keypad) perform the following steps to update the option bus:
Select 0 for PROGRAMMING and enter the installer code
Select 3 for PROGRAM SYSTEM
Select 4 for OPTION BUS
Select 1 for UPDATE BUS
Issue
Connect the FPD-7024 to RPS with the DX4010V2
Solution
Connect the DX4010V2 to the FPD-7024 option bus (main board lower right corner) observing proper wiring connections; R-B-G-Y.
Set DX4010V2 switches 1-6 all on for Address 250.
Press (0) on the faceplate keypad to enter Program Mode.
Enter your Program PIN (default = 9876). The top line of the display should read Program Modes.
Press (3) Program System.
Press (4) Option Bus.
Press (1) Update Bus.
Note: The keypad will display “Updating . . . TOT BUS DEVS: XX”.
XX = the total number of devices on the option bus. If an incorrect total of devices appears, (i.e. 00), inspect wiring and addressing of option bus devices and repeat steps 5-7. Each option bus device must have a unique address.
Press (7) Remote Program.
Press (1) Enable.
Press (* / BACK) key two times to return to Program Modes.
Press (6) Program Accounts.
Press (4) Ring Count. Enter 02 followed by (# / ENTER).
Press (7) ALT. COMM.
Press (1) Serial.
Press (* / BACK) key 3 times to exit programming.
The red LED inside the DX4010V2 should be flashing.
Open the FPD-7024 account In RPS, select Connect via Enhanced Direct.
Note: If the DX4010V2 LED is not flashing, open the DX4020V2 cover and ensure the LED Jumper P2 is in place
