After the installation of Bosch (or other vendor's) plugins. Possible causes and solution(s)   Symptoms   Security Center crashes and is no longer operational - this may happen directly at launch or when you try to enable one of the plugins' tasks.   Causes   The way, how plugins are loaded internally in Security Center creates a potential 'resource sharing' problem amongst all active plugins. Usually plugins depend on other software components, which need to be loaded at the same time a plugin is loaded. To avoid unnecessary high memory consumption and the way how Windows applications access such resources, they are loaded only once into the application domain and are available to all plugins that depend on these components. It may happen that two plugins depend on the same supporting library but expect different versions of this library, which may result in a situation that the first extension that is loaded is not compatible with the extension that is expected by another plugin and may cause a crash in the application.   Solution   This is a 'common problem' in Windows application programming and there is NO general solution to it. With our plugin versions above 1.0.0.7 we take measures to minimize such effects, but such crashes may still happen. Disabling other plugins will help to find out, which plugin is incompatible with the Bosch plugin and if it is possible to deactivate this plugin, the system becomes operational again. Possible causes and solution(s)   Symptoms   BVMS FLEXIDOME Multi 7000i Protocol RTSPS deactivated By deactivating the RTSPS protocol in the camera network settings, there will be no live stream in BVMS Operator Client:   By activating the RTSPS, the camera's live view will be displayed in BVMS Operator Client.     Solution   ✔️  Please check if secure or unsecure connection is used. When RTSPS is disabled, the video streaming via secure connection will not work. RTOS cameras (CPP4/ 6/ 7/ 7.3) do not use SRTP, but a proprietary encryption mechanism.   This is a feature of the camera Firmware for the newer camera platforms. The encryption (secure connection) protocol used is SRTP, therefore RTSPS is used for streaming. Possible causes and solution(s)   Symptoms Newly added cameras have problems with the storage. No recording blocks are given to new cameras, and it's impossible to record. There are more cameras added to the VRM Pool in Configuration Client than the ones displayed on the VRM web page. There are no recordings and under the Recording Management there is "Unexpected error while reading or writing this setting. Target devices doesn’t exist in DB" message:   Solution Please make sure that the configuration has been saved and activated on the BVMS server. Also, make sure that the cameras have been added to the Maps and Structures Device Tree. Once the above are in place, please restart the VRM services as follows: Open Task Manager – go to Services tab – search for Bosch Video Recording Manager – Right click – Restart. You can also perform a camera reboot. If the cameras have been previously linked to a different VRM IP, please ensure that the cameras have the correct VRM IP set. You may check this in the camera GUI menu, as shown in the following screenshots:            Remove the cameras from the VRM                - Perform a camera factory default.                - Re-add the cameras to the server and check the camera menu again ensuring the IPs of VRM match.   ⚠️  Important Note: The server cannot have 2x different IP addresses in one LAN port. It is not recommended to have multiple IP addresses on the same vNIC.
