Question   What can I do in case there are Bosch cameras missing in the Forensic Search Configuration dialog?   Answer   The available cameras in the configuration dialog is controlled by 2 criteria. The camera needs to be a Bosch camera AND the camera needs to have some metadata recording available in XProtect   If any of the 2 criteria above is not met, the camera is not available for the Bosch Forensic Search. Bosch Camera check: Prior to version 1.3.58 of the plugin, we had issues with the detection of Bosch cameras inside newer Milestone versions > 2022R1 and thus no camera was available for the search. In case of such a behavior, make sure to use the latest plugin.   Metadata availability: A simple way to check, if a specific camera has metadata recordings attached is a replay session of this camera in the Smart Client's replay tab. Question   Are AMD CPUs / GPUs supported by the Bosch Dewarping plugin for Milestone XProtect?   Answer   The plugin is able to utilze AMD GPUs for the dewarping process, however - Milestone is not supporting hardware accelerated H264/5 decoding with these GPUs and thus the overall performance is very poor and thus this combination is not recommended. It is important to have in mind, that the dewarping process is the last step in the 'rendering' pipeline and therefore may be considered the root cause for rendering issues even though the problems are introduces already before. ... Possible causes and solution(s)   Symptoms   When the lens of FLEXIDOME 5100i camera is set to a higher tilt angle, you might encounter that the tilt is shifting when assembling the bubble, making it challenging to set a specific tilt angle to meet the desired Field of View (FoV).       Solution   To prevent the lens from tilting when assembling the bubble, it’s recommended to tilt the bubble on to ensure it only engages with the IR sealing rubber when fully seated.  Step 1: Mount camera and set FoV  Step 2: Start placing the top cover / bubble to have initial engagement of the alignment pillars. Do not press down.  Step 3: Tilt / angle the bubble down on the side of the lens and start to move it down on the lens side. When integrating a new KBD-UXF Keyboard in BVMS, there are 2 basic configuration steps that need to be performed. Installing the keyboard drivers Configuring a BVMS workstation for Keyboard integration   Step-by-step guide   Installing the keyboard drivers   1.When plugging the keyboard USB connection into the BVMS workstation you will receive the following message: “Device driver software was not successfully installed Click here for details.”   2. You will need to download and install the proper drivers. Drivers can be downloaded from the product page, under the Download menu. Access them quickly from here: KBD-UXF Keyboard product page   3. After the download is complete, extract the content from the .ZIP file   4. Right click on the DCZ64bitDriver.exe file and select “Run as administrator”   5. The installation Wizard should appear. Click Next, follow the steps and install the driver.   6. To verify if the installation is complete under the Computer management > Ports you should now see USB CDC serial port emulation   Configuring a BVMS workstation for Keyboard integration   1.If you are not already done this, you will need to add a Workstation to the device tree into the BVMS Find and right click on the “Workstation” icon > select “Add Workstation”   2. In the new window enter the IP Address of the workstation you will connect the keyboard to > click OK and save your changes   3. After your workstation has been added, select the workstation icon from the device tree and access its settings menu From the Keyboard Settings submenu select "KBD-Universal XF-Keyboard" from the Keyboard Type drop-down menu.
