    Issue When using 4 wire smoke detectors on the D6112, where do the detectors power connections need to be landed on the panel to provide reset capabilities with Command 47?   Solution   The power connections need to be landed on terminal 15(+) and 14(-) for the reset to occur when a CMD 47 is entered at the keypad.

    Issue What would cause the D6112 panel to send a zone 9, when arming the system? Solution D5200 Programing - 7.10 or 8.10 = Comb ID is set to yes in the program of the panel. With this prompt set to yes in the program, a zone 9 is sent when the panel is armed by the remote programmer, or command 1.

    Overview: D4112 doesn’t arm or anything when code is entered at the keypad. Issue Nothing happens. Doesn’t arm or anything when code is entered at the keypad. Solution Connect programmer using coiled cord. Plug in plastic RJ phone type plug into COMMUNICATOR female connector on 5200 Plug brown connector on other end of coiled cord to programmer connection on 4112 Press ON button on 5200 Type in password at PASSWORD prompt, press enter. Top Line of 5200 shows PRODUCT HANDLERS Using the up/down arrows scroll down until 4112. Please blinking cursor on 4112 Press RED Enter Group button Place cursor on NEWRECORD Short the Standby pin on 4112 to ground momentarily Press RECV(COPY) button on programmer Receiving will be displayed at the top line of the 5200 Display Scroll down using arrow down key until cursor is on 2 PASSCODES Press ENTER GROUP button Passcode1 should have 234 in the field. To change field, press CLEAR key and type in the code to be used. Press enter The code is restricted to 4 characters but the user enters a prefix of 1, 2, 3, 4, 5…depending upon the slot. Example: PASSODE1 shows 234. The user code will be 1234   *** NOTE: Also make sure that the panel has a valid and functioning analog line.  The functionality of the system is dependent upond successful communications.

Solution Indoor Dry.   Relative Humidity 5% to 85% noncondensing at +86 degrees Fahrenheit (+30 degrees Celsius). Operating temperature would be +32 degrees Fahrenheit to +120 degrees Fahrenheit ( 0 degrees Celsius to 49 degrees Celsius ).

    Issue How many on-board zones does the D6112 Control Communicator have?   Solution   The D6112 Control communicator has eight end-of-line resistor supervised hardwire protective zones. There are six standard programmable zones; one nominal 12 VDC powered zone optimized for two-wire smoke detectors and one nominal 12 VDC powered zone optimized for two-wire glass-break detectors.

    Issue Can not get the panel to send modem format. Modem is set to yes in the program, and the CS is set to 7. The panel will send BFSK. Solution To report in Modem II format, the following must be set: Be sure the receiver will accept Modem II format. Account number can be a 3 or 4 digit for modem. If using a 3 digit, program a zero as the first digit. Program item 2.3, Modem, must be set to yes. Program item 3.3, AModem, must be yes if using an alternate phone number as well. Program item 2.5, Ack14, must be set to no. Program item 3.5, AAck14 must be no if using an alternate phone number as well. Program item 2.7, Ack23, must be set to no. Program item 3.11, AAck23, must be no if using an alternate phone number as well. When Modem format is selected, the panel will ignore any entries in the CS line of the program.

    Overview: Time needed to charge a 12 volt back up battery connected to a D4112 Issue   How long does it take to charge a back up battery connected to the panel for the first time?   Solution   It may take as long as 12 hours. BOSCH recommends that the battery be charged prior to the installation.

    Overview: Power up charging status of the battey on a D4112 panel will send a trouble Zn 9 during Recharge cycle. Issue Why does the panel send a Trouble Zn 9 when the battery is charging?   Solution   After the AC is restored the battery will begin to charge.  When the battery reaches a charging level of 11.1 volts, and maintains battery voltage level above 10.3 volts for 1 minute, the panel will RESET and a battery trouble (Trouble Zn 9) will be sent to the Central Station.  When the battery reaches the charging level of 12.5 volts a Restoral Zn 9 is sent to the Central Station.

    Issue What 2 wire smoke detectors have been UL listed compatible with the D4112?   Solution   Note : The D4112 is not UL listed for Commercial Fire Applications. This control does not support multiple detectors in alarm. Do not use smoke detectors from different manufacturers on the same circuit.     Overview: User is entering passcode twice to arm alarm system. A five second delay between key strokes will cause the keypad to view the next entry as the start of a NEW passcode. Key strokes must be strung together with no pauses in between longer that 5 seconds. Issue User must enter passcode twice to arm the system.  Same code is used for both entries.   Solution   The user is pausing too long between key strokes.  After a key is pressed the next key stroke must be pressed wthin 5 seconds. A delay of 5 or more seconds will cause the keypad to view the next key stroke as the start of a new entry.

      How to progrma the 6112/5503 to send reboot reports. 6112/5503panel is communicating alarm and trouble signals but, when I do a disable restart it will not send the reboot signal.
