Possible causes and solutions: Ground Fault Detect enabled The control panel has a ground fault detection circuit that when enabled, detects ground faults on Terminals 1 to 9 and 11 to 30. If a ground fault condition occurs, the keypads annunciate a ground fault and control panel transmits a trouble message. Ground Fault condition is corrected When the control panel recognizes that the ground fault condition is corrected, and remains corrected for between 5 to 45 consecutive seconds, the control panel clears the fault from the keypad display and sends a restoral report   Measure earth ground (Terminal 10) and COMMON (Terminal 9) to determine whether the control panel has the necessary 0 VDC decay to -2.1 VDC. Measuring and comparing voltage for ground fault detection: Set your digital voltmeter (DVM) to measure VDC. Connect the red DVM lead to control panel Terminal 10, and the black DVM lead to Terminal 9. Compare this voltage to the following table: Enable Ground Fault Detect and reports To enable fault detection, use RPS. Set the following parameters: ·        PANEL WIDE PARAMETERS > Miscellaneous > Ground Fault Detection. Set to Enable ·        PANEL WIDE PARAMETERS > Report Routing > Burglar Reports > Trouble Report. Set to Yes. ·       PANEL WIDE PARAMETERS > Report Routing > Burglar Reports > Burg Restore (After Trouble). Set to Yes.

You can use the Advantech ADAM-4541 Fiber Optic Converter to connect SDI2 devices via fiber optic cabling. Using fiber optic cabling allows you to extend the distance between SDI2 devices. Do not include the length of the fiber cabling in your wire length calculations for the SDI2 bus. Building-to-building SDI2 connections of SDI2 devices such as keypads, access control modules, power supplies, wireless receivers, input modules, and output modules are easily made. Notice: Use of the Advantech ADAM-4541 Fiber Optic Converter and SDI2 devices has not been investigated by Underwriter’s Laboratories. Do not use for UL applications or applications that include fire alarm components.

If looking to apply power (complete the circuit): NO of the DS150 to the Positive of the Maglock. From the negative of the Maglock to the negative of the power supply. From the Positive of the power supply to Common on the DS150.   If looking to remove power (break the circuit): NC of the DS150 to the Positive of the Maglock. From the negative of the Maglock to the negative of the power supply. From the Positive of the power supply to Common on the DS150.   Note: Generally we do fail safe not fail secure and the relay timer needs to be incremented.

How to configure the output in GV4 ver.2? Default: 0 Selections: 0 to 8 (increments of 1) Use this parameter to activate an output when the point goes into alarm. The output does not activate for Trouble nor Supervisory events. Reset the output by clearing the memory from the keypad display. The outputs used can be on an output module installed on either the Zonex bus or the SDI2 bus.   *Notice that the Relay will activate only when the point goes in to alarm, not when it changes to an off-normal state. Follow the steps from this article to accomplish the BFSK relay functionality.

If there is no G in the panel's name, there is no ground fault detection and the panel does not have an S4 pin. If it has a single G in the name it has the chance it could be enabled if S4 is latched and under area 5 silent alarm relay there is a value other than 0. If it’s a GV2, GV3 or GV4 and S4 is latched, ground fault detection is enabled. If there is ground fault detection, latch S4 and measure DC voltage on Terminals 9 and 10: You should get 6.5-6.8 VDC Steady (not jumping around) when there isn't a ground fault. If there is a ground fault it can take up to a minute to display and clear at the keypad.

Causes: The heartbeat LED on the B426 is off. No communication failure, trouble or communication module missing error messages at the keypad. Solution Check the TMPR pins next to the Ethernet port on the B426.   Remove the jumper from the pins; the B426s heartbeat LED will start flashing to show the firmware version on the board and then it will resume normal or trouble operation depending on the condition on the B426. When the Tamper jumper is covering both pins the heartbeat LED is turned off to save power.
